It is hardly “code.” Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason. A whole population does not just invent a characteristic to ascribe to a group of people.
The murder rate by race is one indicator of the reality, the elephant in the room no one wants to talk about.
And black folks largely pay the price for our society not dealing with the issue forthrightly, they are the victims, overwhelmingly. #BlackLivesMatter indeed.
