A police officer in McKinney, Texas, has been suspended from duties after being filmed aggressively handcuffing, and then pulling a weapon on, a group of black teens following an “incident” at a local pool party on Friday night.

Soooo...Someone explain who ‘coming to their aid’, they being people in the process of being arrested, isn’t grounds to shoot every one of them? I s not ‘aid’ in this context, a felony? If that ‘sid’ threatened the cop, is it not his training to pull his gun as the next least severe action between a verbal command and actually shooting?
Should we suspend every cop that holds a gun on a suspect now?

If it looked like a crowd was going to come and help the perp he would be stupid not to get the gun.

None of this would have happened if the Blacks had done what the cops told them to do. But then, the Blacks don’t don’t think they have to obey the laws. Just like animals.
Yeah, too bad, what a shame. But wait -- if only some of the folks at the party were associated with pool party gangs, we could be disappointed that the cops didn't just open fire on these pool-party scum and incarcerate the rest on $1 million bonds each. After all, obviously there were pool party scum there and the others should have known better than to even show up, but probably they were pool party scum themselves.
Gee. Life is just full of disappointments. These poor cops.
If I had been one of those kids, I'd have come to their aid as well and had a gun pulled on me. VERY OBVIOUSLY this was a group of average kids, blacks and whites friends with each other, and very obviously the MORON COP that people who should know better are defending here, is confirming for teens that cops are worthy of their contempt.
The good news is, that this video indicates that out of three cops, two of them were smart and good, and only ONE was a foul-mouthed (he used the F word, the GD word, etc. etc. etc. while "instructing" these kids) jerk who should NEVER have a job in law enforcement.

This was a mixed-race crowd. The other two cops, who you can SEE in the video basically stopping the other cop at the point the pulled the gun, and I think even un-handcuffing the girl he'd thrown down on the ground (if I had been there, adult or kid, I'd have come to that kid's aid, while some fat slug white guy watching all this, a toad coward -- an insult to toads -- takes it all placidly in), the other two cops are pretty obviously wanting to stop and wash their hands, disassociate with, the cop who gives ALL THE REST a bad name.
I hope that the rest of his fellow cops give him a nice blanket party for hurting all the good cops on that force with his wholesale adolescent rage at a bunch of kids. Most of the kids behaved more maturely than the cop. HAPPILY, the other two cops seem to have been disgusted, embarrassed, and concerned about it.
When I was a teen and the cops showed up you straigtened up like immediately. These teens have no respect for authority and they are not small and not afraid of the cops. Its a different world.
Who defended the cop?
I stated that if it looked like a crowd was coming to interfere with an arrest or something, a cop would be dumb not to be prepared to defend himself.
Maybe the reporter should have made the circumstances clearer.

Well I watched the video and.......you are absolutely right. Cop beating up what looked like a 14 year old girl. When he pulled his gun the other two cops had to come and restrain him.
It is probably why his fellow officers basically removed him from the fracas with the girl, where he felt compelled to pull the gun-- because they also realized that this cop's behavior is part of WHY teens have no respect for cops. That cop is deserving ONLY of contempt, and if YOU think it's smart to put him in a position of authority, then you are out of touch.
I respected the cops in my towns that were GOOD cops, and I know well that they helped steer misguided kids in the right direction. We respected them because they earned that respect. We also had contempt for the small number of officers in our small towns who were like that clown in the video. They EARNED our contempt.
You expect kids to respect the badge. The kids are smarter than you, dear. NO ONE is entitled to respect just because he has a badge, and especially when he behaves in a way that is WORSE than most of the teenagers on the scene.
WATCH THE VIDEO. Until you do, you are talking out your butt.
For crying out loud, what is so difficult about that? It's only seven minutes. WATCH IT before you jump to conclusions. Make up your own mind instead of depending on some lame reporter to spoon-feed to you what you should and CAN be doing for yourself.
