It's waiting to be read in every local library. It changed my thinking about something like that happening in the USA.

Funny how Waco is always the focus of government slaughters?

You should try to be a little less closed minded about this thing. There is information out there that comes from eyewitness members of the biker clubs involved that tell how the whole thing started. I realize that knowledge is dangerous to a propaganda effort but please try to keep it real.

To: Travis McGee; All

One of the most evil aspects of a tyrannical state is the burden of conscience placed on citizens.

My hero of that time is Claus Philipp Maria Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg.

I visited the Brendlerstraße memorial a couple of months ago. It is somber, chilling.

A couple years ago, I visited the family graveyard at the von der Schullenburg Schloß at Tressow. I went there because an ancestor of mine had been a “serf” of the von der Schulenburgs. [All my ancestors were in the US long long before the Nazi regime, BTW. Not that I should have to mention that fact. Some were here before the Revolution, more before the Civil War, all on the side of Freedom.] Fritz von der Schulenburg was also a member of the Resistance, and Stauffenberg had been at the same Schloß Tressow. Fritz is not buried at Tressow, because he was assassinated by the Nazis after the heroic Attentat failed. Still, that quiet graveyard with his memorial in the middle of literally nowhere, is also somber, chilling.

I am thankful to have been there.

Stauffenberg’s wife and other family were arrested. His last child was born in that prison. Fortunately, in the final days of the war, relatives were able to rescue her and the child.

I hesitated to put “All” on this post. But since others have done so for more spurious comments, I decided, OK. All.

Fellow Freepers ALL, are not the problem here. No Fellow Freeper (that I know of, anyway) shot anyone at Waco.

People can legitimately have a different take on the events until all the information and truth come out. But my impression is that those in the “Police Massacre sand box” cannot, will not, accept any take on events except Sieg Heil to the official “Sand Box” version. That to me is very sad.

Honestly, it smacks of the Stasi. Where ordinary citizens cannot help themselves except to disparage and report others. It gives them some personal satisfaction, not unlike those in the book referenced. I have even read comments on these threads, that people who do not Sieg Heil to the sand box version, are PAID seminar posters?!? Please disabuse yourselves of that fantasy. Cannot you not accept that other freedom loving Americans are allowed to post and posit facts, information, and hypotheses which might cause others to reflect a bit? But reflect they do not, name calling and forcing others off the forum is the tactic employed. The Stasi would have simply LOVED input like that.

Instead of a circular firing squad among Freepers, the true enemies should be encountered. Of course, it takes a lot less moral and physical courage to call other Freepers names, and force them off the forum with tactics of the left such as personal attacks and name-calling.

In summary, none of us is worth a toenail clipping of the likes of Graf von Stauffenberg or Fritz von der Schulenburg.
Please do not dare to assert your moral superiority to other Freepers who also are seeking Truth, and Freedom, in accordance with the American Way.

I am not the one who brought up Lt. Calley, or the situation in Nazi Germany. My comments should be as seriously taken as those of others who did bring up those contexts.

Guys, ALL, FR is wonderful for sharing information and getting analysis of others. However, there is a Real World out there, and sometimes we have to get off the threads, take some deep breaths, and come back with an open mind.

SERVUS, of course.
