As a life long New Yorker with very conservative leaning I would endorse Bloomberg.
He knows how to get opposing political groups to work together, he knows how to balance a budget (while controlling taxes), he is strong on public safety and defense, the cops liked him as did the firefighters, he greatly improved the schools, he stood up to the unions and did not tolerate foolishness from other elected officials.
Some of his social ideas are a bit screwy but you are never going to find the politician with whom you will always agree.
BTW: He is a licensed jet and helicopter pilot and he can’t be bought.
What could a billion dollars worth of advertising possibly say that would convince Southern voters that Bloomberg was other than a liberal gun-grabbing, Big Gulp squelching New Yorker?

I hope he runs and burns through most of his money.
But I thought the Fascist Asshole Oxygen Thief party already HAD a nominee. I find it hard to believe Wall Streeters are THAT stupid.
>>>>>> he cant be bought. <<<<<<<
Because he is already in the club.
Understand, being rich or wanting to be rich is not a disqualifying situation in my book. With that said, I am getting tired of living in a nation that screams “liberty”, “freedom”, and “equal opportunity” while being run as a game rigged for those that have already won it.
The next politician I actually support is the one that says “Let’s burn it all down and start over.”
I do Bloomberg props for acknowledging that calling himself a republican or democrat is easy either way. It is about as close as any of them will get to stating that they are paid staff.
