I am also worried that some poor bastard with PTSD is going to be near one of these exercises and is going to think its the real deal and kill a lot of people! I thought the same thing and it may not even be someone that has PTSD; just someone that feels threatened.
Also wondered about what happens if a round gets loose and lands in someone's living room. It is "training" and mortars don't care where they are aimed or what they blow up.

True! This is really stupid on the military’s part. At least inform the public what you are doing. Where I live every June we are “invaded” by our military plus that of other countries. But we know about it and it’s not a big deal.
