I’ve really lost a lot of respect for Jackley over this. I’m starting to believe that there really is a closed Establishment in our state party; one that is not devoted to the interests of anyone outside that group.
My wife has already left the GOP over Thune becoming a squish, Daugaard’s “anointment” as Governor, and the blatant efforts to “refine” Kristi Noem’s “electability” - which really means cutting her off from her Tea Party roots and making her a Washington Establishment potted plant. I still have hopes for Noem, but I had them about Thune a few years back, too.
I’m tempted to run for Legislature myself - but maybe I need more rich friends in Sioux Falls.
