Whatever my differences with Senator Paul, I am in complete agreement here & very much appreciate what he is doing. The so called Patriot Ace should be flushed. Along with a whole lot of similar fascist crap from the federal government. And flush every stinking member of congress that wants to keep the Patriot Act. Every single one of them.
But Paul argues that bill actually expands the PATRIOT Act
I'd be very surprised if that isn't completely true.

Fourteen year later and I’ll bet no one in Congress has read it yet.

If the Patriot Act were effective at all we would have stopped the Boston Marathon Bombings.
We had intel from Russia... and didn’t actually do the surveilance needed to stop two men that should have been under active surveilance due to legitamate probable cause.

What? Are you suggesting OUR government would abuse their authority? I'm shocked. Where oh where would you get such an opinion?

The problem is that he wants to grandstand and pander on the issue than deal with the parts of it that people have actual problems with. In the end he’ll get nothing.

I’m with Paul on this one. The Patriot Act has done far more harm to American liberty than the damned Muslim terrorists.

Hmmmm, choose between the Patriot Act and the Freedom Act. Tough choice, especially since the title of a bill or law is almost guaranteed to be the exact opposite of what the text says.

Rand is a fraud. In some aspects, he's even worse than his father.
He has shown himself to be a political opportunist and part of the very GOP establishment that he promised to run against.
Rand has none of the economic and monetary brilliance of his father. At least Ron Paul was a true independent and was despised by both political parties.

Im with Paul on this one. The Patriot Act has done far more harm to American liberty than the damned Muslim terrorists. The mooselimb terrorists have murdered thousands of Americans, how has the Patriot Act taken a single American life?
Exactly what SPECIFIC HARM has the Patriot Act done to American Liberty?
Both you and paul, lay in the bushes, and shake your rattles as a belly crawler will.

The so called Patriot Ace... Too true. Nowadays the way a bill is labeled, you can pretty well be assured it means the exact opposite of its name.
Patriot Act - We're Spying on Citizens, but Totally Missed Seeing that Whole ISIS Thingy Act
Affordable Care Act - Yousa Gonna Die Broke Act
Net Neutrality Act - All Your Website Belong to Us Act

Personally I’m a lot more concerned with the way our government is seeding America with imported muslims and God knows who else is simply coming in unannounced.

Umm lets see..how about the 4th amendment???
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
