After all the hoopla of the last couple of days, the supporters of Blatter, after talking to their lawyers, now know that they will never see one second in a US courtroom. The only ones vulnerable were those from the Caribbean, due to its unique position with US banks. The African and Asian delegates are not going to give up the gravy train just because of this episode. These guys are powerful individuals within their countries, and know were the bodies are buried. Do you really believe that countries like Angola, South Africa, etc are going to give up their guys to us, so the FBI can question them about other things beyond soccer, never going to happen. Plus the DOJ is notorious for running dog and pony shows. We have all seen in NYC the periodic sweep of organized crime figures from time to time. We see all the wiseguys being led into court for arraignment. What the public never sees is when they walk free a couple of months later when the charges are dropped.
The only hope for FIFA on the horizon is for UEFA, minus Putin's stooges, goes ahead and leaves FIFA as they are threatening to do. Europe with the US, Japan, South Korea, Argentina, and Brazil having their own competition would kill FIFA. Nobody is going to miss Ghana and Iran not being there.
