I wonder if the "smoking gun" defense will work for Menendez? Not that I am a fan of his at all but man the circumstances are exactly the same - accepted gifts, actions by the US government that benefited the giver are taken shortly thereafter however, the burden of proof has now become a smoking gun for the Xlinton Crime Family, but only for the Xlinton Crime Family.
