Officer Orozco gave birth to a premature baby in February, who was to be released from the hospital last Thursday. Officer Orozco was going to start her “maternity leave” on Thursday, to be home with the new baby.
Thank you to a TX law enforcement agency, which brought the flag used to drape her casket. Thank you to the Patriot Guard Riders, who lined the streets as her body was moved to the church. Thank you to the craftsman in Woodbine, IA, who has created a police badge/shield monument to honor her and other OPD members who died in the line of duty over the years.
Thank you to all in Omaha and across the country, who have sent wishes or donations in support of her family and the Omaha Police Department.
Thank you to Kerrie Orozco for your impact on the community, and for your final sacrifice. RIP
Thank you very much, NEMDF. God bless.
