I wonder what the MFWICS would have made of me at age five - ranging over several square miles of Bethlehem, NY on my first bike. I had a very wide range as a child - no one to supervise me. That was the status quo in the early 50's and we didn't turn out so bad.

Of course, there was no crime in my area - no drug use in schools, etc.

In the present climate, my parents would be arrested and I'd probably be fostered out or put into some state controlled environment. Where I would probably be encouraged to question my gender or sexual preference.

I guess that wold be a successful resolution under the present ethos.
