National Weather Service ^ | 05-24-2015 | NOAA

It took me a LONG time to find this website and specific information, but here it is. Free Republic has always given me knowledge I can't find anywhere else. Thought I'd share back a little. This shows the YTD rainfall levels for Texas counties (South Central). You can also click on the right data link and get normal rainfall totals and then look at the present totals for a comparison.

Click here for Rainfall Totals - Texas Counties link.

Lago Vista?? Once had English friends living there. Very nice, lovely community. Here in Collin County, not far from Lake Texoma. It went over the spill way this morning. Big, big Event. Channel 12 had a Spillway Cam on site with nothing but picture for hours on end. Reminds one of ‘watching paint dry’. Believe only the fourth time in history this has occurred. More rain in the forecast. A bit of sunshine would be appreciated.

“Not Yet”

But they will... All weekend on Radio and TV we are still reminded not to water and not to wash and that “Revenue Enhancement Agents” (my term) will Fine You if you are caught. (WE ARE 100% SATURATED AND FLOODING)

If the lakes get above a certain level, some Cities start losing “that” Revenue and they and their Campadres (EPA etc) will figure out a way to keep the cash cow alive.

WORD

My faith in Government is that they will NEVER take Less, NEVER work with Less and all you have to do is watch, they will figure out a way to get MORE “Now” and NEVER TAKE LESS forever after. They are so predictable.

TT

Don’t count on any dry. Joe Bastardi says this jungle weather will be here through summer.

Houston area definitely feels like a swamp. The mosquitos look like wasps. And, the gnats look like mosquitos.

Don’t complain, you could have a 2000 acre neighbor who just spread truckloads of chicken poop, the biting flies look like House Wrens.

This just go to show us to be careful what we wish for.

I was down at lake Livingston a few days ago and it was high, lots of areas flooded.
It's been over a decade since I've seen water that high there.

Whoever is praying for rain, please Stop!

If it rains for 40 days the animals should start pairing up.

Okay, now how about finding for us the per capita consumption of canned mushrooms in Ohio, by legislative district?

Regards,

I think Texas State is the only university in Texas which can claim to have an alumnus who became President of the United States.

On the other hand, they might prefer to sweep that under the rug.

Will say a long, tearful prayer for everything and everyone I can think of...and then drown before I do that.

Make good use of it, because it is a true statement.
