30 cents in 1965 dollars is pretty much 2.70 in today’s money. Enjoy your car. They’re not as enjoyable once your dead.
I can look back on my cars and appreciate the beauty, but cars to me have always been a means of transportation. I appreciate reliability above all things. Going out to a car in the middle of winter and having it start right up is a wonder to behold. A lot of my 50's, 60's and 70's cars, though physically desirable, were less than that in performance.
