People make mistakes, sometimes grave mistakes. It sounds like he took steps and has sought and no doubt received God’s grace.
“People make mistakes,”
A mistake is when you dial a wrong phone number. “Oh I meant to reach for the Kellog’s Corn Flakes at the store but diddled my sister instead”.
“People make mistakes, sometimes grave mistakes. It sounds like he took steps and has sought and no doubt received Gods grace.”
And how do you have such a keen understanding of who is granted God’s Grace?
Are there any other child rapists that you think should have God’s grace?
No excuses. Bring out the wood chipper! sar.
Josh Duggar was unwise to have sought and retained such a high profile position with this kind of a sin against him as his political enemies (and non-political ones) are a lot less forgiving than the almighty.
I recall a story of King David when faced with a choice as a punishment for sinning against God among the choices were to be harmed (fall under the sword) by the surrounding enemies of Israel or to fall by a pestilence David chose pestilence because he knew that God is merciful and was more likely to relent and that men are not inclined to give mercy.
I admit I haven’t followed this closely, what exactly did he do as a teenager? I’ve heard he groped some girls, and that his family and the family of those girls stepped in and dealt with the issue.
I want to know exactly what he did, what age he did it and what exactly happened before I am going to say throw the book at him.
Lets face it, very few of us escaped our teens without doing things we shouldn’t have done... and fortunately most of us had someone around us who loved and cared for us to help us get back on the right track.
Have you ever been molested or sexually assaulted? If not, then button up, because holding hands and singing around a campfire is not an adequate response!
If he did that to one of my family members, I'd give him the 3's treatment with no regrets.
