I'd wager that the majority of 14 year olds don't fondle the private parts of their sleeping sisters -- and 14 is by far old enough to know better no matter how sheltered he was. Yes, everybody has embarrassing stuff in their past (I myself used to use way, way too much hair gel), but most people don't have the sexual assault of their sisters to carry with them.

Duggar crossed a very, very serious line from "embarrassing" to "sick."

My best friends wife and her sister were abused this way.
2 of his little girls had the same thing happen to them, by one of their cousins (the sisters boy)

Same buddy had a girlfriend, years ago, who had been abused by her brother.

My cousins' boy molested one of his younger cousins, when he was 14.

I know the boy. I also know of issues in his life since he was young. His dad isn't much of a dad. Watches porn all the time and calls himself the Porn King.
Just connecting with him a couple of times, like young boys needs, and he looks me up when ever I get up there.

Today, he's 19 years old, going to automotive mechanics school. He's TRYING to make something of his life, unlike anybody else in his family. Despite all the things against him.

His shame happened when he was 14. He is 19 now. And has to register as a sex offender his entire life.

I for one hope that he can overcome all the issues in his life.

I saw the Duggars at a local church several years ago. The children were all very impressive - seemed so sweet and were musically talented. I have watched the show a few times but not on a regular basis. A few weeks ago I was watching with my 28 year old daughter and she said “surely one of them smokes crack”, as in “they all can’t be so perfect”. Obviously, smoking crack would have been preferable.

Overall they seem like an amazingly loving family. I am very upset over this for all involved but especially the ammo it gives the left.
