Witnesses testified at a hearing on the development of policing strategies to promote better relations between law enforcement and communities. Areas discussed included the use of police body cameras, appointing independent prosecutors for investigations involving allegations of police misconduct, impediments that discourage witnesses from coming forward during investigations, law enforcement agency training and accreditation, and the rules and regulations that affect local law enforcement.
