Sen. Sessions: More Skepticism Of Trade Pacts Needed, Should Not Lose One Job To Trade Deal
Breitbart ^ | May 19th, 2015 | by Caroline May

There needs to be a real analysis about the results of global trade agreements, but for some the sanctity of trade relationships have become tantamount to a religion, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL)says.

Speaking on the Senate floor Monday, the Alabama Republican highlighted the decline in American’s real hourly wages, median incomes, and shrinking middle class — arguing that while big government policies have had a big impact, so too have trade deals.

“It is time to begin a vigorous analysis of our conduct of trade,” Sessions said. “Do our policies and TPP concede too much to our mercantilist competitor allies?”

According to the Alabama lawmaker, there has not been enough consideration of the impact of trade agreements on the American worker and American incomes — so long as consumer prices decline with the deals.

Do you consider yourself a citizen of the World?
Do you think generating revenue via income taxes is preferable to import tariffs and duties?

Not one job? Not one?

What about the job of the guy whose job it is to lobby Congress to get the trade deal passed? Should he still have his job after the trade deal passes? How would that work, exactly?

This bill isn’t about free trade it’s Senators giving up their power to Obama to rewrite U.S. laws as treaties override U.S. laws, including immigration laws.

"In productive capitalism, innovation ,entrepreneurs, capital and underutilized labor come together freely and produce real wealth. "

Can you name a single nation that conducts itself in that manner...internationally? Even ONE?

No restrictions on imports of any kind. No restrictions on the free movement of labor (immigration). No restrictions on the flow of capital.

Historically if you study the economy of Rome, there were no restrictions on imports. The Romans were remarkably tolerant on how anyone including foreigners could spend or invest their capital. Obviously there will always be political obstacles to unfettered capitalism in modern times. The opponents rally under banners such as “enviormentalism”, “social justice and redistribution” as well as not so subtle hostility and jealousy of the talented, successful risk takers. (”you didn’t make that” “You exploited people and the environment to selfishly get rich” etc etc). Yet much of the worlds problems is that the post colonial newly independent countries in the mid 20th century, ( with the exception perhaps of Singapore and Hong Kong) chose the socialistic approaches of their former masters that appealed to newly enfranchised elites trying to consolidate power. Economies stagnated, regressed, never developed and the political and social consequences have been disastrous. Very difficult to defend capitalism. Four of the last six Presidential elections demonstrate just how hard it is and the consequences of failing to do so.

Yes the links are vital for all Americans to read. The mainstream news media is hiding what Obama is trying to do with this trade deal which is to destroy the U.S. border and to destroy the U.S.

And, still you did not cite a single country engaging in Smithsonian Capitalism...something that is absolutely necessary for "free trade".

Every nation of the world is looking to gain advantage, and those who do not protect themselves will be destitute.

Again Senator Sessions hits the nail on the head. Talk about a voice crying in the wilderness. Is he the only one who gets it?

Sessions and real Repubs

Any congressman that allows proposed legislation, treaty or other, to be voted on sight unseen, is operating illegally. This did not have to be spelled out in bold print for USG representatives. It is obvious and undeniable to a common citizen. This is even considering that congress may have to shut the doors on some high classified vote. The bill would be visible to members.

DC has become illegal to the point of treason.

Well let me concede you this .Thereprobably is no nation today that can or will ever practice the free wheeling capitalism as practiced from 1870 through 1900 in America that created unheard of wealth and created the first numerically significant middle class. However where would you rather be? Closer on the spectrum to what you call Smithsonian capitalism , further to the left where politically controlled central banks direct the distribution of capital, “social democracy” where taxes, regulations, central banks and redistribution schemes are the norm or overt socialism? Frankly when foreign governments subsidize their industries, they are enriching others by making well made products much cheaper for foreigners who import them to enjoy.

I support Smithsonian Capitalism internally, and ONLY with other countries that also practice it.

Does anyone need reminding that what Obama calls free trade could be more like crony trade? Since when are any of his policies aptly named? Since when does he do things that help anyone but the rich & famous?

The secrecy surrounding this deal makes it even more suspicious.

The mainstream news media is hiding what Obama is trying to do

He can't do it without the help of Mitch and John, what does that tell you?

Jade Helm is for a future event that will be the result of this trade deal.

1Sa 8:7 And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

1Sa 8:18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.
