Student activist Emma Sulkowicz made headlines last fall, pledging to carry her mattress around Columbia Universitys campus until the administration expelled her alleged rapist, Paul Nungesser. That didnt happen.
Tuesday, both students were scheduled to graduate. So Sulkowicz, with the help of her friends, carried her mattress in the processional, continuing her protest. According to The Columbia Daily Spectator, the schools administration emailed seniors on Monday saying, Graduates should not bring into the ceremonial area large objects which could interfere with the proceedings or create discomfort to others in close, crowded spaces shared by thousands of people. Sulkowicz disregarded this warning and brought her mattress on stage. According to a tweet from Teo Armus, the Deputy News Editor at the Columbia Spectator, Emma Sulkowicz did not shake hands with President Lee Bollinger when she went on stage.

Never piss off a NYC Princess!
Thanks for posting her picture - she has nice teeth ...
Another false accusation of rape.
The girl pursued him for months after the sexual encounter and he has the obsessive emails from her to prove it. It was only when he made it clear he wasn’t interested in being her boyfriend that she cried rape. Law enforcement knew about the emails, which is why he wasn’t charged with rape.
The school administration knew about the emails, which is why he wasn’t suspended from school. The school did nothing to stop the girl from carrying the mattress around campus and she continued to harras him with rape accusations even though they knew the accusations were false. This is why he filed a Title IX lawsuit against the school.
Advertising curb service.
I wish him complete success. A guy's life shouldn't be ruined because of fake allegations.
I knew this guy who married a woman with a teenage daughter.
The daughter hated him and accused him of rape.
His friends and business associates black balled this guy.
The people of the town he liived in treated him very badly.
He spent a bunch of money on a lawyer defending himself .
It came to trial and the girls testimony fell apart.
He was innocent
Where does he go to get his life back?
Thus proving the old adage never f*** anyone crazier than you are.
She's a visual arts major. She wants people to look at her.
He wasn't even charged.
Perhaps if that PATHETIC MOM had raised her not to put out until she was married, she would not have had such a ‘difficult’ time in college.
There’s a word for people like her. Attention Whore
I saw this article yesterday.
If my daughter called and said she had been raped at college, I would call the cops, not some PhD.
Because she knows doing so would likely get her arrested for filing a false police report. It has been shown that she made up her story of rape. She had a relationship with the guy after her fake rape, and for months sent him text messages declaring her love for him. Her mattress was just a stunt because she couldn’t think of anything else to do for her senior project. She is the one who should be in jail.
***Nobody is ever found innocent under our legal system.***
I’ve only seen one exception to that, and it was when the Duke Lacrosse players were exonerated. They were found “innocent”, not just “not guilty”. It was an extraordinary finding.
I think I read somewhere that 30% or more of rape accusations are false. Yet women are almost never held accountable for making false accusations. Perhaps that needs to change. Men have gone to prison on the basis of false accusations.
I read one article that claimed that rape accusations essentially come down to a “he said—she said” scenario, because the rape kit only shows that an act took place, not that it was rape. That isn’t quite true. During rape, a woman is uncooperative, which leads to certain stereotypical injuries. I’d say that the absence of those injuries should make an alleged rape that much harder to prosecute.
It cannot be rape if she’s bringing the mattress, can it?
“Activist” = LIAR.
I wasn’t aware of that. Do you have a reference?
