I agree. I can't see how that would enter into the picture in this day and age.
Well, some Churches (like the Catholic Church, and maybe others?) still are saddled with that old, archaic, obsolescent nonsense from Jesus about how marrying a divorced person is adultery.
Not the sort of thing most people would take seriously, of course.
