Keeping this thread alive because I want to know what FReepers think and how much “normalcy bias” we are affected by here. I will just say there was a column of military trucks in my little town yesterday which is unusual.
I agree with those who believe assets are being pre-positioned as if a huge event were on the horizon, and I want to call attention to how many in the government are acting the same.
Imagine that some on the right like Boehner, McConnell, and Roberts have been told that their place. and their families place.in the safe underground bunkers is at stake if they do not comply with the wishes of the administration?
Coffins, food supplies and bullets...what are they for?

Compared to the general public, I would submit that Freepers are NOT suffering from normalcy bias much at all. (maybe a little).

We KNOW something is coming... at the very least an economical collapse. I find your familiarity with the term you used refreshing. Most people have never even heard of it, let alone what it means.

Armored vehicles on streets of Nashua, Red Hampshire last week...NO mention of it in any standard media outlet (tv news, papers). One would think in a boring state like Red Hampshire some mention would have been made of this, but no.
