"Resisting Arrest Without Violence" is what cops charge you with when you haven't committed a crime, but they want you in jail anyway. It is a powerful intimidation tool.

It's not Orwellian. It's satanic.
By and large I think my chances of being arrested are relatively low.
Probably because of me. I gave it to FR and made it nationwide. That scared them. Ain’t the interwebs grand?
I just hope somebody besides me & my obsolete old computer caught it before they erased it. It is now stored in my computer’s memory, but that’s pointless to the rest of the internet.
Thank you!

We’d all like to think that way, however the odds are pressing against us.
Two years ago, all the conspiracy theorists were outraged that the Federal Government was supplying high-tech military equipment to local law enforcement agencies all over the country. Not to protect and serve, but to oppress and intimidate. Now that those alleged evil plans for domination of the America populace seem to be coming to fruition, those same people are outraged because good, decent cops are caught in the backlash.
Reminds me of an old saying: If a liberal gets mugged, he becomes a conservative. If a conservative gets arrested, he becomes a liberal.
You get charged for resisting arrest if you resist arrest.
Running away, crawling out of a cruiser window, etc. is quite obviously resisting arrest.
You don't get to decide whether or not the police can arrest you.
They either have probable cause or they don't.
If they do, you come quietly and call a lawyer.
If they don't, you come quietly, call a lawyer and then sue them for wrongful arrest.
You can't argue your way out of an arrest, or fight your way out of an arrest, or run away from an arrest and still expect to avoid the law.
