Sure, our noble government would never “force” churches to perform gay weddings, they would prefer to bankrupt them with the removal of tax-exempt status.

I have no doubt that our (ig)noble government would try to strip churches of their tax-exempt status if they fail to conduct gay weddings. I just think that the courts (yes, even the same courts that allowed for gay weddings in the first place) would smack them down for trying. I don’t think that’s a 100% certainty—that’s why I would support a legislative fix to ensure that the issue doesn’t come up—but I think it’s a strong probability.

They have forced legalization of gay marriage and forced church schools to teach homosexuality affirmatively to children in the UK. And that was from their conservative party.
