One fellow senator calls David Vitters years-long crusade to scrap health care subsidies for lawmakers and their staffers disingenuous. Another says its obviously being done for political purposes.
I just dont think hes made a lot of progress on this issue, a third senator says.
And those are just fellow Republicans talking.
Within the chummy confines of the U.S. Senate, Vitter has emerged as one of the most disliked members. The second-term senators effort to kill the federal health care contribution, worth several thousand dollars to lawmakers and their staffers, is a big part of it.

The politicians at the trough in the District of Corruption really hate it when they are exposed. Vitter has exposed their venality and greed.
Obamacare for thee but not for me......
I agree that Congress is not following the law nor are others as these elected officials are not GOV employees who are eligible for AFGE union health care plans. Yet, they get that care and it is better then every Veteran who uses the VA gets plus all of us stuck with Obamacare .
And FEHB is the Federal Employees Health Benefit. Senators and Congressmen are not Federal Employees.
