However, Gowdy is actually ‘doing’ something. You wouldn’t be reading about this if he wasn’t.
He is using all the ‘power’ he can in the position he is in.

Simple, like most politicians, they are terrified of the media.
Freerepublic is part of the new media. There would not even be an investigation, if the new media were not here to help get the word out.
The new media’s job is to help get the truth out so as to not make these efforts useless.
And many here do nothing but complain, as if the Congress can tell NBC/ABC/CBS NYTs and WaPo what to do and what to print.
We have been living in a mediacracy for decades, and are just on the edge of fighting our way out of it, and a bunch of supposed allies do nothing but complain that more is not done.
