His name is Matthew Apperson, and he and Zimmerman were involved in a road rage incident last year.

Estimating looking at the bullet hole, either the guy shot from a similar sized truck or someone was standing shooting into the window.
I think the shooter is going to prison.
Thanks for the link. Looking at this man and hearing the boast that he belongs to the NRA doesn’t change my opinion on this matter. “I shot George Zimmerman” is the giveaway that this jerk is after his little moment in the public eye.
George Zimmerman, although never convicted of a crime, will have to live like a modern day gunslinger the rest of his life. There will always be some fruitcake looking to challenge him, or some gang member thug wanting to wreak vengeance.
I’m old, but if I had had to go through what this man has endured just because he was doing what he had been asked to do by his neighbors; I would most likely make him look like a Girl Scout.
The lowest vermin in this country, who mug, rape, murder and pillage, will never have to go through what this man will. That’s the “equality” we’re seeing put into place by this America hating media and government.
I see it differently. GZ was never asked by his neighbors to do anything. He appointed himself neighborhood watch.
He had run-ins with the police before the incident with Martin. And afterward, he continued to get into trouble.
This guy who shot at him might have issues, too, but this isn’t the first time they encountered each other. Here’s more info on their last two encounters:
I still see nothing that justifies shooting into Zimmerman’s vehicle. That the man called 911 and boasted about shooting Zimmerman should be enough to see he’s a fruitcake. And if that isn’t enough, a few minutes of listening to him on video clinches it; he’s looney. So say some of his neighbors that know him and live next to him. He threatened one of their lives as early as yesterday.
Zimmerman’s troubles are less with the law than that of a media who is rooting for his demise. It should be a lesson for anyone the next time they have a thug on top of them threatening to kill them and beating their head against the pavement. They can consider if their life is even worth using deadly force to save. You might as well let the first thug kill you if you’re going to consent to being targeted and attacked by the media and every loon that comes in contact with you.
The way this country is shaping up; I can see myself in George Zimmerman’s shoes any day.
I doubt there’s any justification for shooting into GZ’s vehicle, so we agree there.
I just don’t see GZ as completely innocent of everything that happens. He might be innocent in this particular case (being shot at), but he does have a knack for finding trouble, dating back to 2005.
