What is Senator Cruz supposed to say? That he believes Obama was born outside the United States to an American mother and a foreign father and is therefore ineligible for the presidency?
You can bet at some point Cruz will field a birther "gotcha" question. I fully expect he'll answer in a way that affirms Obama's eligibility and quickly puts the issue to rest.
It will be buried but not at rest in its coffin.
Of course, the difference is that Stanley Ann was too young to transmit citizenship, and Cruz’s mother was not.
