So this is what my local station, WSET, has been braying about and begging people to watch. Their site had a big banner at the top for two weeks---"Islam in America." We usually catch the local news at night, but we made a point of missing this mess.

Why, I wonder, didn't they do a story on the Muslims of America paramilitary compound ten miles away in Red House, VA? I think I'll call them and ask them.

Also, this from Liberty University?

“In any religious text out of its content, it becomes a pretext. You can use it for whatever you mean,” said Liberty University professor and Theologian Dr. Chris Gnanakan. Dr. Gnanakan says terrorism justified by religion is often rooted in power and politics.

Religion was never meant to be volatile. I think peace is what all religions seek. Muslims will say that, Hindus live that and Christians pursue peace,” said Gnanakan."

Just WTH?

Here is Liberty's page on Chris Gnanakan. It sheds no light on why he apparently does not want to state clearly the intentions of jihad. He seems to be parsing words when he says, "Muslims will say that." Plainly, they will say that to deceive "infidels" because their scriptures empower them to lie to get what they want: world domination.
