Would anybody even care about Ben Carson if his skin was white?

Now that's the $64 million dollar question. I daresay that if it was a white man in his same position, with his same resume, and his same (as stated) stance on issues (or non-stance, as these things dribble out), the answer would be "no".

I believe you’re right.

I’ve noticed that posts concerning Carson are often careful to make the point that, oh, he’s brilliant and so gifted and such a wonderful man, BUT.

I don’t know that I see that kind of thing when we’re disagreeing with other candidates. It’s overdone, IMO.
