AZ POLL: Sen. McCain Under 50 Percent, Extraordinarily Vulnerable
breitbart.com ^ | 5/5/15 | Michelle Moons

Five-term incumbent Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has good reason to fear a primary challenge. Newly released data from liberal-leaning Public Policy Polling shows half of Arizona’s Republican primary voters disapprove of McCain’s job performance, and more than half would prefer a more conservative Senate candidate in 2016.

After more than three decades in Washington, McCain earns merely 41 percent approval from Arizona Republicans and 36 percent from general Arizona voters, PPP finds. Just 37 percent reported a willingness to support the Senator in his 2016 re-election bid.

In the days leading up to his re-election declaration, McCain and wife Cindy each released letters asking for financial support.

Notably, 51 percent of those surveyed in the poll indicated a desire for someone more conservative than Sen. John McCain as the 2016 Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Arizona.

The result comes as little surprise, considering that members of McCain’s own party officially censured him on the basis that he has “amassed a long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats, such as Amnesty, funding for ObamaCare, the debt ceiling, assaults on the Constitution and 2nd amendment, and has continued to support liberal nominees.”

What we need is to find a real conservative who can send McCain to his long awaited retirement.

He should gracefully bow out of politics and work with the AZ Republican party to elect an honest to God conservative. He should but he won’t.....

My only question is this:

What is the RNC doing right now to sabotage and undermine any real conservative that will run against The McCaniac?

I don’t bet on anything that can talk. Especially a politician.

I’m almost - *almost* - to the point where I’d welcome a Democrat beating McCain. I figure a freshman Democratic senator wouldn’t have much in the way of seniority or pull, and might just be the option of less harm compared to a senior GOP senator who uses his considerable power to kick conservatives in the backside at every opportunity. That’s how bad McCain has gotten, in my view.

Of course, I would *much* rather see McCain primaried by a real conservative (who hopefully would go on to win the general). I’m just saying it’s long past time for McCain to go away.

I’m hoping it’s Kelli Ward. Another freeper provided some info on her a while back and she sounds like a very viable conservative.

She had to endorse him last time after he had selected her out of 310 million people to be the vice presidential nominee. That was then and this is now.
