I read on FR awhile ago where Mohammed was part of a tribe that was expanding territory in battles. And they had a hard time keeping all of the various tribes that they captured under control. So he came up with the muslim “religion” in order to unite the various tribes under one thought system. Sounds plausible to me. It worked for L. Ron Hubbard, didn't it? :)

ahahahahah YES!!
this puts me in mind of one of the more expensive typos i ever made...
back just before “personal” computers put a lot of typographers out of business...I had some type set for an ad that was due to be delivered in a couple of days.
I included the wrong telephone number in the layout for the ad...and had to drive a forty mile round trip to the typographers..and layout another hundred bucks to get it fixed
