No offense but your seeming minimization of “yeah, the risk” is a big part of the problem of why its so entrenched today.
To be honest if swat was used exactly how it was sold to us - which it has not been - hardcore drug dealers and gangs would have been destroyed. And there would have been so much fear instilled almost nobody would seriously consider it worth it to be a hardcore drug dealer.
My point about “the risk” concerns the general growth of govt and the comfort of security it brings. I’m not dismissing the concerns you raised.
Don’t forget my original point regarding aggressive consequences for those that would otherwise deal to minors.
