I just learned that Texas is larger than Alaska. (And 2x Montana which seems like a big place)

Alaska is larger than Texas 663,267 square miles vs. 268,581 for Texas. Texas has a greater population, however.

Montana is large, and Texas is MUCH larger, but Alaska is twice the size of Texas.
