Bait And Switch: How Same Sex Marriage Ends Family Autonomy
THE FEDERALIST ^ | 09 APRIL 2015 | STELLA MORABITO

Abolishing all civil marriage is the primary goal of the elites who have been pushing same sex marriage. The scheme called “marriage equality” is not an end in itself, and never really has been. The LGBT agenda has spawned too many other disparate agendas hostile to the existence of marriage, making marriage “unsustainable,” if you will. By now we should be able to hear the growing drumbeat to abolish civil marriage, as well as to legalize polygamy and all manner of reproductive technologies.

Since the 60s Progressive activists have been extremely consistent in pushing one, and only one, agenda. It is blatantly called “Pushing the envelope”. Where there is past tradition and value and conscience, push the envelope to free us from tradition, from values, and from a sense of guilt and inhibitions.

Pushing the envelope is the lay term for “The Hegelian Dialectic”.

Actually a pretty good article... if The Netherlands are any guide, every year since ‘same-sex marriage’ was allowed shows a regular and precipitous drop in the total number of marriages to the point now where it is rare for a couple to even bother to get married.

Unfortunately, a LOT of conservatives are taking the bait on ending civil marriage. I suspect that they are disgusted by all the “gay marriage” bickering and hope it simply ends if marriage is dissolved. They say marriage should be done only through the church as had been done in the past...but since the church no longer has enforcement rights or status in most people’s lives - it’s a cop-out, and the end result is simply the end of marriage.

This is the most important article posted on FR in a long time.

There is no group of people who have a more serious obligation to sound the alarm on these threats to society than the Catholic bishops.

Unfortunately, the bishops have chosen to staff their conference in Washington almost entirely with pro-abortion gay activists, so there is simply no recognition of any threat from the Left.
