"
Allen, who is currently in prison and was listed as a source in a police document,..."
Clear enough?

Ping.
This should clear the issue up. The problem with credibility on the part of some police and blogs does stand out.

There is no record of Danta being picked up or arrested. He was not in police custody with Brown. He was one of the 2 who ran from the police. Brown was the other. Danta was apprehended later in the day and released without charges or arrest. He is lying.

No way I am going to read past that line.

Gotta say this seems to the most credible report regarding the “witness” that has appeared thus far. There have been other threads posted here that to me seemed like rumor mongering or even rabble rousing. Certainly not from established credible sources.

Donta Allen, a Baltimore man who was in police custody with Freddie Gray, denied police claims that Gray intentionally slammed his head in a police van, a local television reporter told MSNBC host Chris Hayes on Thursday. The local "reporter" is Jayne Miller. She is partner with Janice Bledsoe who is giving Miller false information. Donta apparently is NOT the other guy in the van.
You're posting a false story. Read the following link.

Pretty soon they’ll have 30 “witnesses” to swear that they had Gray chained to the bumper of the van and they drove all over town dragging him behind the van.

"Looks to me as though the truth is slipping further and further out of reach."
That tends to happen with officious gangsters who make false "switchblade" allegations and the like. After doing incompetent interviews (something that liars are not very good at), they've often said to their victims, "You're guilty as hell, and you know it."
I know, because I've watched them do it in person. And I was far better at conducting interviews than they. Well, back to them. They're guilty as hell, and they know it. Everyone knows it, including their race war mongering, neo-Nazi fans and controlling con$tituent$.

Their are federal laws against what they’re doing in so many municipals, counties and states. The Public Integrity Section of the DOJ should be doing its job: rounding the official crooks up and throwing them in federal prisons.
