The charges against six Baltimore Police officers in the case of a death caused by an alleged 80 percent severed spine may go too far, and some are likely to be dismissed by a judge and/or fail if there is ever a trial, says public interest law professor John Banzhaf, because of at least two important factors: causation and divided responsibility. --snip-- Since the statement of probable cause read by Baltimore lead prosecutor Marilyn J. Mosby did not include any explanation of exactly how or when the fatal injury occurred, it may be difficult to establish that any of the alleged wrongful acts or omissions was in fact the cause of the death.

I just hope their families survive.
I'm tired of prosecutors "charge-larding" to stick it to their victims.
The Founders would be disgusted with us for putting up with it.
"Our time is coming", Marilyn, you "thug" Commie. And you're going to dislike it when it gets here...
Democratic hard left control of Baltimore is the main cause of the riots and racial division in spite that all the power is in the hand of Black democrats for several generations.
Black Baltimore Mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, ordered the police: to stand down LET THEM LOOT. IT S ONLY PROPERTY. We saw hell explode after the Black democratic mayor gave the thugs carte blanche to destroy the city. The police werent allowed to defend the city. More than 100 officers were injured, some seriously.
Baltimore needs a new mayor with courage and integrity, Toya Graham, the mother that took his son from the mob.
The steady expansion of welfare programs can be taken as a measure of the steady disintegration of the Negro family structure over the past generation in the United States. Dem. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (In office January 3, 1977 January 3, 2001)
The liberal left can be as rigid and destructive as any force in American life. Dem. senator Daniel Moynihan
Facts are irrelevant for Anarchists, Communists, professionals agitators and community organizers followers of Marxist Saul Alinskys Rules for Radicals strategy.
Obama is the most racist and divisive president in our history. Obama does not want unity. He wants to keep the country as polarized and disoriented as possible. Obama has been inflaming racial tension since he took power. According Aliniskys tactics adopted by Obama, change has to be brought through relentless agitation and trouble making of a kind that radically disrupts society as it is.
David Horowitz excellent recently published pamphlet Barack Obamas Rules for Revolution: The Alinsky Model offers keen insights into Alinsky and what it might mean when Alinsky followers are in positions of power. The conclusions he reaches are not pleasant but are borne out by current events, public utterances of the president, his history, and the work of Alinsky himself.
What we are seeing is the most radical President in our countrys history who is unable to govern because governing is not his purpose. The Alinskyite, ever the destroyer of institutions, cannot govern because governments and societies are built upon institutions.
We wonder if Baltimores schools are forming thugs instead of educating the students for a fruitful and productive life? In Baltimore, taxpayers are currently spending $16,578 per year for each pupil in the citys public schools. Not only is this 48% more than the national average of $10,608, but its more than any other country on the face of the earth spends on public education.
Nationwide according to the FBI in 2011, 193 blacks were killed by whites, 448 White killed by Blacks while 2,447 blacks were killed by blacks. That is 2.3 times more whites killed by blacks than the other way around despite the fact that theres six times as many whites in this country.
Do Black lives really matter? How many of the parents of Blacks murdered by Blacks received a call of Obama or send his personal representative to the funeral? Did our condolences in chief has ever called the parents of so many Whites killed by Blacks?

Not holding back one bit. Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke says O is quietly enjoying whats going on in Baltimore because hes a promoter of division and has benefitted politically from dividing people.
Sheriff Clarke points out all the times President Obama has pitted one group of Americans against another. He also questions why Obama didnt come out and speak about the Baltimore riots earlier. He was interviewed here on the Mark Levin Show
Clarke: Change In Baltimore Should Start With Failed Liberal Democrat Policies

Breitbart.com ^ | April 30,2015 | Ian Hanchett
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke (D) blasted failed liberal government policies for miring people in cities like Baltimore in generational poverty and argued that change in Baltimore needs to start in the politics, the failed liberal Democrat policies on Wednesdays Hannity on the Fox News Channel.
Officer Caesar R. Goodson Jr
How many times did he kill the guy?
I'm getting tired of the over-charging crap that goes on all the time in this country.
They are America’s first 6 political prisoners.
Remember when truckers would complain about a ‘questionable’ speeding ticket and then a charge of ‘mud on license plate’ and they would complain about it.
‘The Trucking Bozo’ used to tell them the 2nd charge was there so the first could be plea bargained AND the speeding charge would be dropped for the plate - not going on their driving record. (I guess the inference being all the jurisdiction was after was MONEY)
Can’t wait to hear from the THIRD STRONG BLACK WOMAN as the first two have either prejudiced the city towards the Cops and making an ‘honest’ jury pool impossible.
The Mayor with her stand down remark, doubling down with its only property and following up with ‘3 Black Women in Charge’ will guarantee ‘Justice’ - she (hyphen) also made statements - We PUT her in office for something like this.
Then the City Attorney all but had the gallows out for the 6 Officers... If they can’t get that trial moved out of Baltimore there is no justice.
Great comment the other day in ref A Sharlaton’s march on Washington to see AG LYNCH.....
Can we call this a LYNCH MOB?????
I don’t know; half of them are black, and one gets the trump card (black female). I believe the highest ranking cop is a white guy, so they’ll probably just have to settle for him...
Swamp gas. There is no evidence of spinal surgery before the arrest. Just baseless assertions. All debunked here on Free Republic.
Remember back when OJ was cleared in court, blacks in unison cheered in jubilation that he beat the charges of killing the white folks. They couldnt contain their glee. What do you suppose would be their reaction if these cops beat these charges, and white people rejoiced in jubilation?
That is there plan. What do you want to bet the timing of the reduced charges or acquittals will be just before the election? They will use this to get leftist elected.
It was then that I realized that many, if not most, blacks live in a delusional, alternate universe.
Where do these six officers go to get their lives back?
in an effort to quiet the riots the state has just ruined these peoples lives.
Sounds to me like the guy had a death wish and his wish was fulfilled. Or he had a case of the stupids and wanted to claim the police beat him up and he over did it.
Either way, award the man his Darwin award and turn the cops free. I don’t really see a case here.
Even with lower numbers, they still get what they want - what did they actually lose? The guy you responded to is correct - the Left know how to follow up and keep the pressure on - our side is lazy and more prone to a lot of useless (but neat sounding) words and a marked lack of action.
Well you can bet the farm it won’t be dismissed. Though it should be. There is not a judge in Maryland that has the guts to dismiss it.
