I heard it on TV but I can not find the source on the warrants, so I may be wrong on that . He had 18 arrests. He was to stand trial on possession this week! It is reported that the police report says the knife was “spring loaded” and one hand action knife. Is that not a “switch blade” illegal under most state laws?
If an officer yells “halt” and you run ,is that not evading capture and probable cause for pursuit?
In my opinion, this is a travesty to charge these officers.
But if it is a fact that he had spinal surgery 10 days earlier on top of “several” surgeries on his spine, this thing is over. It will never go to trial.

A lot of places are backtracking on that statement. Apparently someone doctored a settlement over lead based paint exposure to a 'freddy Gray' (not even sure if it is the same one or just same name) to turn it into a car accident. I haven't been able to come up with any actual proof that he had the surgery, just a lot of facebook, social media stuff saying it to be true.

A switch blade is a knife that has a switch pressed to extend the blade. I would think any knife that is spring-loaded would fall under that classification.
