They really aren’t. There is some high-tech stuff onboard, but the nuclear propulsion systems are not much more advanced that what we had when I was in.

I went through nuclear power training 35 years ago and I work with people who went through it 10-20 years ago. There are differences. Since nuclear power school is not a school that trains people on specific gear (like radar school or missile school), the curriculum should be about the same with similar outcomes.
