A government watchdog says the IRS has taken significant steps to stop agents from targeting political groups based on their names and policy positions.
The agencys inspector general says the IRS is doing a better job processing applications for tax-exempt status. In a report issued Thursday, he says the IRS has eliminated intrusive, unnecessary questions, and is processing applications faster.

The 2013 audit found that agents were singling out groups with "tea party" or "patriot" in the name. They also singled out groups that talked about "limiting/expanding government, educating on the Constitution and Bill of Rights, social economic reform/movement," the audit said. These terms appeared on "be on the lookout" lists that agents used when scrutinizing applications for tax-exempt status under section 501 (c) (4) of the federal tax code, which is for social welfare groups. We know they're leftists and they hate us, but never give them credibility for being intelligent.

There were already processes in place to keep this illegal activity from happening. They were ignored, and with virtually no consequences. Why would anyone at the IRS respect the new ones?

I feel much better. Obama has promised that after 54 years of persecuting conservatives, Christians, Jews, whites, and other groups he hates and wants to destroy. This time he’s done targeting us. Sure.

A government watchdog says the IRS has taken significant steps to stop agents from targeting political groups based on their names and policy positions. Not nearly enough. Some one should be charged and, if convicted, lose their pension. There is no legal basis in what they did. This is not yet the Soviet Union.
