A prisoner sharing a police transport van with Freddie Gray told investigators that he could hear Gray banging against the walls of the vehicle and believed that he was intentionally trying to injure himself, according to an investigative document obtained by The Washington Post.
The prisoner, who is currently in jail, was separated from Gray by a metal partition and could not see him. His statement is contained in an application for a search warrant, which is sealed by the court. The Post was given the document under the condition that the prisoner not be named because the person who provided it feared for the inmates safety.
The document, written by a Baltimore police investigator, offers the first glimpse of what might have happened inside the van. It is not clear whether any additional evidence backs up the prisoners version.

WaPo reporter is on MSNBC somewhat saying that this report leaked by the police is bunk.
bus riders aren’t cuffed... so they can hold on.... and I have seen older people buck forward where other passengers on both trains and buses have had to stop them from falling.
Yes it does. That is why they have suicide watch in jails and so forth. Once in custody, the prisoners safety is the responsibility of the arresting authority. That’s why they take your belt and shoe laces. No different than a child under custody by an adult, when in custody, you have no right to free will.
Lol.
Obama is prickly that is for sure
Butt call him a porcupine? I should demure
He does not eat bark and swing in trees
He lives on his belly
And eats feces.
That’s what i heard anyway
This is why it’s best to wait for the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Nah. Old joke. If he had as many sticking out of him as he had stuck in him he’d look like a porcupine.
The headline is bald faced lie. The prisoner didn’t SAY the prisoner was banging his head. He said it sounded like he was banging his head. And when we read the article we learn the prisoner couldn’t even see the guy. This is simply crap journalism. It reminds me of Michael Brown’s buddy’s story. Lawrence O’Donnell would run this kind of story.
That’s gonna be the story they say... that the kid broke his own neck? Even I’m not gonna believe that....
Exactly. The dumb masses have decided that its raaaaaaaaaaaaacism. It wouldn’t matter at this point if there was a video of Nipsey Russell breaking his back while reading a copy of Black Tail magazine. Its been decided its white racism no matter what happens.
If he was on dust he could easily.
I dunno.... I’m not sure I’ll ever believe the kid broke his own neck....
You mean the kind of seizure one might have if bags of cocaine explode in their stomach?
I know 25 isn’t a kid.... I just call everyone in their 20’s kids. But I agree he isn’t... or wasn’t.
“The second prisoner was loaded at the 3rd stop the van made after Gray already requested medical assistance.”
The first lesson in gaming the system. Claim to be injured to get some leverage over the Police.
Metal health'll drive you mad.
Someone related to this matter, I think officially, said on Hannity that the van’s GPS system indicates the speed of the vehicle for the entire journey, and that nothing out of the ordinary occurred in terms of a violent or purposely rough transport.
So if you have a witness that has described what has been described and a GPS providing further evidence as to the handling of the van by the driver, we could be looking at a different scenario.
Is it possible that a person who was arrested would intentionally try to injure themselves in order to grief the police or possibly set themselves up for legal action in their favor? I think that such a thing is indeed possible.
However, I am not going to jump on this on way or the other at this time, and I am just going to continue to watch as the investigation continues.
He likely didn’t under normal circumstances and probably wasn’t dusted but it is possible. Some of the things people have done to themselves defy logic. Do a Google search if you get bored sometime. It’s amazing.
I’d like to know how he could tell the difference between someone banging their head against a metal wall as opposed to kicking the metal wall.
Now, if he WAS kicking it that proves he wasn’t paralyzed.
This may have been stated on Megyn Kelly’s show, I can’t remember.

Yea, obviously that’s what was going on ;-)
