US Senate rejects tying terrorism support to Iran sanctions relief (45-54 vote)
Jerusalem Post ^ | 04/30/2015 01:03 | MICHAEL WILNER

The US Senate rejected on Wednesday an effort to make any lifting of US sanctions on Iran part of an international nuclear agreement dependent on President Barack Obama certifying that Iran is not supporting acts of terrorism against Americans.

With some votes still being counted, 54 senators had opposed a proposed amendment to a bill requiring an Iran nuclear deal to be reviewed by Congress, guaranteeing that it would not reach the 60-vote threshold required to move ahead.

Linda Grahamnesty told us they were going to ram this thing through with no tinkering.

I don’t understand why SC wanted to keep him in the Senate.

__________

Because multiple Tea Party candidates ran against him in the primary and split the vote, so he pranced in.

We need a conservative primary separate from the GOP primary that chooses which conservative we will send into the GOP nominating process. If we don’t nothing will ever change.

South Carolina was once not so long ago a democrat state as were most southern states. The power structure shifted to GOP during the Reagan years but the power players retained democrat policies and views. Graham is controlled by a cabal of democrats as is Cochran and so many others including McCain.

Many of the so-called GOP were democrats such as Cochran, Barbour. They did not switch parties as Reagan did because the party left them, they switched because they wanted or their masters wanted that they keep their hands on the money, to have decision authority over who gets what from federal money and bonds. It doesn’t matter if they are republican or democrat, what matters to them is to have their hands in the money.

Often the votes are stacked up by the reasoning “if I don’t get a piece of this, someone else will”.

Recent example, Assurant Health based in Wisconsin is going out of business. Most health insurers are receiving subsidies (Obamacare bribes/payoffs) but not Assurant. This is payback against the power circle that is behind Walker. Wisconsin has a republican US Senator and a democrat US Senator. Their republican Senator votes against the Obama administration. If Senator Johnson were more like McCain or Graham, it’s a good chance Assurant would have received a subsidy to stay in business.
