Actually, the origin of the word came from a movie in which “The Purge” is a governmentally approved set-aside window during which killing is allowed without consequence.

Pretty much sums up the present situation.

I had forgotten that, which is the exact road the Baltimore mayor is taking that city down. Personally, I think it is long past time to break out the fire hoses if not something stronger. That always brings up images of the long past democratic south, but they gotta do what they gotta do.
