The University of Maryland, Baltimore and numerous downtown businesses closed early Monday, citing concerns about potentially violent activity in the area.
Lexington Market, a city courthouse and businesses including T. Rowe Price and Venable LLP said police warned them of large gatherings and protests downtown.
According to widely circulated flier, a high school "purge" was to take place at 3 p.m., starting at Mondawmin and ending downtown.
Such memes have been known to circulate regularly, but today's has led to bolstered police presence around the city.
The flier includes an image of protesters smashing the windshield of a police car this past weekend after a march spurred by the death of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old man who died earlier this month after being arrested by city police, turned violent and destructive.
A post on the University of Maryland Baltimore's website said that the closure was prompted by a recommendation from city police. The campus will also stop shuttle service.

Yep....most brown or dark skinned people seem to agree....but that unfortunately is how it is. They just won’t get a grip on the problems of their communities because they won’t address the culture violence and the discipline the families need to be doing with their kids. Far too many are left in the streets to learn what otherwise most parents would keep off the streets.

Can someone post a thread for this please?????? Then we can scope further for the facts other places....
The Fourth Estate has contacted sources who allege that .....Freddy Gray received spinal and neck surgery a week before we was arrested, and was allegedly receiving a large structured settlement from Allstate Insurance.....
The surgery is allegedly related to a car accident in which Gray was involved.
Sources allege that Freddie Gray also attempted to refinance his structured settlement into one lump sum payment through Peachtree Funding.
If this is true, then it is possible that Grays spinal injury resulting from his encounter with the Baltimore Police was not the result of rough-handling or abuse, but rather a freak accident that occurred when Gray should have been at home resting, not selling drugs.

Here’s the story according to colonial records...
Prior to 1655 there were no legal slaves in the colonies, only indentured servants. All masters were required to free their servants after their time was up. Seven years was the limit that an indentured servant could be held. Upon their release they were granted 50 acres of land.
Anthony Johnson was a Negro from modern-day Angola. He was brought to the US to work on a tobacco farm in 1619. In 1622 he was almost killed when Powhatan Indians attacked the farm. 52 out of 57 people on the farm perished in the attack. He married a female black servant while working on the farm.
When Anthony was released he was legally recognized as a free Negro and ran a successful farm. In 1651 he held 250 acres and five black indentured servants. In 1654, it was time for Anthony to release John Casor, a black indentured servant. Instead Anthony told Casor he was extending his time. Casor left and became employed by the free white man Robert Parker.
Anthony Johnson sued Robert Parker in the Northampton Court in 1654. In 1655, the court ruled that Anthony Johnson could hold John Casor indefinitely. The court gave judicial sanction for blacks to own slave of their own race. Thus Casor became the first permanent slave and Johnson the first slave owner.
Part 2#.....
Whites still could not legally hold a black servant as an indefinite slave until 1670. In that year, the colonial assembly passed legislation permitting free whites, blacks, and Indians the right to own blacks as slaves.
By 1699, the number of free blacks prompted fears of a Negro insurrection. Virginia Colonial ordered the repatriation of freed blacks back to Africa. Many blacks sold themselves to white masters so they would not have to go to Africa. This was the first effort to gently repatriate free blacks back to Africa. The modern nations of Sierra Leone and Liberia both originated as colonies of repatriated former black slaves.
However, black slave owners continued to thrive in the United States.
By 1830 there were 3,775 black families living in the South who owned black slaves. By 1860 there were about 3,000 slaves owned by black households in the city of New Orleans alone.

Thanks Kristin...looks like some are searching further as I’d hope. I really am not going further with this mocked up event of his death. Easy to say I really don’t care what happened to him....anymore than the punk in Ferguson. Both of whom brought on themselves by the lives they chose to live.. the end result ...regardless how it came down.
Book mark..
This would be blockbusters stuff..
Ping me if ya have more.

Reminds of the MASH episode where Hawkeye is trying to figure out why the Koreans are fighting. It comes to him that it is because of bathrooms - so he tries to haul an outhouse up north.
I’d be glad to send a roll of TP if it will get them to shut up.
