I'd almost agree, but look at the way Hillary Clinton's campaign started in what amounts essentially paranoid control--no press questions and a highly-controlled group of people meeting her. I think a good fraction of the Left wonders is this a good idea, too.
Remember, normally in a Presidential political campaign, you start with a big public rally, then go on a real bus tour with public rallies along the way and photo ops at as many local restaurants as possible. She did the EXACT opposite, which miffed many on the Left and got ridiculed by everyone else....

Exactly, they are between a rock and a hard place.If they let Hillary do any personal appearances it generally goes downhill pretty quick. So they have to hide her and depend on Hub's kid or bubba to do the PR work.
