GoFundMe shut it down. I emailed to find out why. They responded with this:

Thank you for writing to us about this campaign.

After careful review by our team, we have found the “Support Sweet Cakes By Melissa” campaign to be in violation of our Terms and Conditions. The money raised thus far will still be made available for withdrawal.

While a different campaign was recently permitted for a pizzeria in Indiana, no laws were violated and the campaign remained live. However, the subjects of the “Support Sweet Cakes By Melissa” campaign have been formally charged by local authorities and found to be in violation of Oregon state law concerning discriminatory acts. Accordingly, the campaign has been disabled.

Regards,
The GoFundMe Team

OMG, they're being shut out by everybody over this crap.

I'm stunned, this has become a lynch mob favoring Gays and unconstitutional favoring
towards a non-class of people who are nothing more than perverts.

Their pathetic law doesn't trump Religious rights in the Constitution.
But this is how they're winning, they force bad laws and dare people who
cannot afford to take it to the top. The Average Citizen has no address
to the Gov anymore.

I will say it, people will start dying if this shit keeps up..

The case has not played out its full appellate path yet so how can they say whether or not it is a “crime”?

But fine that is what they say. So without missing a beat, let donations be made directly and the GoFundMe people can forego what they got off the top.

And similar sites should be set up for Christian causes involving challenge of unjust laws.

They have been charged by Oregon authorities for raising money for the bakery owners?

I would not be surprised if they try to identify the individual donors and start filing charges against them as well.

This latest, outrageous development, needs national attention.

That needs its own stand-alone post to bring attention to the fact the Oregon authorities are apparently prosecuting the people who set up the fund to help the business owners (not merely the fact that GoFundMe shut it down). This is total madness if that is true.

It needs to be heavily publicized nationwide - this is the type of tyranny that exists when liberals are in charge long enough. This is the sort of thing that has been happening in Canada, Europe and other places, and now it has made its way here.
