“During the height of the Iraq/Afghanistan wars, I made it a routine to visit the wounded at Bethesda and Walter Reed. They got really superb care. “
Of course this isn’t what the thread was about. Since we’re off-topic a bit - The war wounded get (and deserve) the best care we can muster. Money is not an object for these soldiers, nor should it be. Back to the topic: The sad thing is that in the long run, these war wounded are much more likely to get caught up in a socialist medical system than not. They will get the superb care like the VA likes to give out if history is a guide.
“If you feel compelled to spout off about things you know nothing about, shut off your computer and go fishing instead. It’ll save yourself a lot of embarrassment.”
The subject story of the thread is what military/socialized medicine is for the vast majority of servicemen and their dependents. What is it about the woman given the bums rush out the door is superb to you?
“Nah, just an experienced military leader/commander. BS artists are easy to recognize.”
Yes they are, and you’ve played your own part on this thread.
It isn't inadequate, what there is available of it. Congress has cut our budgets, the services have cut back available services - but the military medical professionals are outstanding, what few we have left.
You are given to blanket statements.
How about examples?
