On this forty-fifth birthday of the first annual Earthday, which was first commemorated on the one-hundredth birthday of our beloved Vladimir Lenin in 1970, let us revisit some of the predictions made on that glorious day.
Remember comrades, it doesn't matter whether the prophecies came true, but whether they affected change that leads to the equality to be found in the Glorious Utopian World of Next Tuesday...
*******
It is already too late to avoid mass starvation, proclaimed Denis Hayes, Chief organizer for Earth Day.
-"Demographers agree almost unanimously on the following grim timetable: by 1975 widespread famines will begin in India; these will spread by 1990 to include all of India, Pakistan, China and the Near East, Africa. By the year 2000, or conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions . By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, and Australia, will be in famine, said professor Peter Gunter.
-We are in an environmental crisis which threatens the survival of this nation, and of the world as a suitable place of human habitation, said Barry Commoner, a Washington University biologist.
-In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution by 1985 air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half, according to Life magazine.
-At the present rate of nitrogen buildup, its only a matter of time before light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be usable, according to ecologist and UC Davis professor Kenneth Watt.
-Air pollution is certainly going to take hundreds of thousands of lives in the next few years alone, lamented Paul Ehrlich, author and Stanford University biology professor.
-By the year 2000, if present trends continue, we will be using up crude oil at such a rate that there wont be any more crude oil. Youll drive up to the pump and say, Fill er up, buddy, and hell say, I am very sorry, there isnt any, warned Kenneth Watt.
-One theory assumes that the earths cloud cover will continue to thicken as more dust, fumes, and water vapor are belched into the atmosphere by industrial smokestacks and jet planes. Screened from the suns heat, the planet will cool, the water vapor will fall and freeze, and a new Ice Age will be born, warned Newsweek magazine.
-The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years. If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age, warned professor Kenneth Watt.
-Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make. The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years, - Stanford University biologist Paul Ehrlich.
-Most of the people who are going to die in the greatest cataclysm in the history of man have already been born [By 1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s. - Stanford University biologist Paul Ehrlich
Despite the fact that these predictions are laughable in hindsight, they have been used to give credence to our socialist agenda. Let us applaud these brave scientists who have sacrificed their credibility in pursuit of something greater. They sounded the false alarm to give cover to our communist politicians working under the guise of the Democrat Party.
These untruths have been so universally powerful and persuasive, that even the so-called 'opposition' party has been forced to accept them as fact. Earth Day has been a powerful tool of deception toward attaining the Utopian State of Equality that we have struggled to achieve for the past century, just as our dear Comrade Vladimir Lenin did until his death in 1924.
Let us remember him and his sacrifice for us as we celebrate his birthday on Earthday
It’s on this date because this is V.I. Lenin’s birthday.
Celebrate by........pouring gasoline in a tire set it on fire.
The Earth is only 45 years old?? Now I remember..I just floated around in open space for the first 7 years of my life..
Funny..don't libs tease Christians about thinking the earth is only hundreds of years old???
1,700 PRIVATE JETS FLY TO DAVOS TO DISCUSS GLOBAL WARMING
A squadron of 1,700 private jets are rumbling into Davos, Switzerland, this week to discuss global warming and other issues as the annual World Economic Forum gets underway.
The influx of private jets is so great, the Swiss Armed Forces has been forced to open up a military air base for the first time ever to absorb all the super rich flying their private jets into the event, reports Newsweek.
I remember Earth Day because of it’s founder Ira Einhorn. It was kinda cool how he strangled his girlfriend, stored her corpse in a chest in his closet until it was discovered mummified years later and then ran off to France for twenty years to avoid having to pay for his, um, misstep. Hey, he is on the right side of history, so its OK, right?
Used to change the oil on my ‘73 Mustang by driving out into the woods a bit and dump the oil right on the ground.
Never felt too bad about it, specially since they charge you to recycle oil.
It will recycle all right.
Happy Lenin’s birthday to all Marxist Environmentalists...
a scam
“Celebrate by........pouring gasoline in a tire set it on fire.”
Keeps the skeeters away in the summer
Holly Maddux won't be celebrating "Earth Day" this year. Her former boyfriend, the *founder* of "Earth Day",*will* be celebrating...but in a rather controlled environment.
For more info google "Ira Einhorn".
Grrrr. Just had to celebrate freaking Earth Day at daughter’s preschool. Too young to explain how stupid it is.
BBQ day! Fire that sucker up!
PA Announcement: RFK Jr. Your private jet is ready.
