It’s been a long time since I had an old can of anything. Living in poverty for3 years, then eating fresh with my family for 6 months has taught me to live modestly.

I buy fresh avocados weekly. My fruits and veges are all farm fresh. I have two cans of spaghettios for days I don’t feel like cooking when I get home.

I have gotten away from processed foods except the week’s worth of MREs in my bugout bag.

My only bread is tortillas because they last longer than bread and I rarely use them.

If they’re dented/creased and metal is compromised, they can mold when bacteria invades. Usually, they have a ‘botulism bulge’ in the metal, and ‘distinct aroma’/mold layer when opened.
