Giving work permits on a restricted, limited, and TEMPORARY basis is NOT amnesty!! That is no different than our current guest-worker/VISA programs. These programs target a very small number of eligible people and would not be applied broadly.
Amnesty is awarding benefits, naturalization, citizenship, or an eventual path to benefits/naturalization/citizenship to illegals without cause. This is done across the board. None of which Cruz supports.
Apparently, Texas has NOT surrendered since we’re the ones leading the fight via Cruz and leading the fight with the anti-immigration lawsuits!

Letting people who should be deported stay and get work permits is amnesty.
But it must be easy to stew in your own ideas and misconceptions if you won’t take any MSM’s quotes of Cruz’s positions as legitimate.
