Ted Cruz knocks it out of the park again.
Ted was on with Martha MacCallum this morning who grilled him on getting independents versus just sticking with the base. MacCallum started with the premise that Cruz is too conservative but he refuted that nonsense and told her that hes already seeing a wider coalition of voters including Reagan Democrats and independents among his supporters. But she still insisted on sticking with her premise, asking Cruz if he even wants the independent vote. Cruz responded that of course he wants independents. He explained to MacCallum, as he as told others in the past, that his common sense principles are something that most Americans can agree on and that will draw independents as well as conservatives.
MacCallum also asked him about his comments on concealed carry on military bases and that he had been pressing McCain, and that McCain says he doesnt remember being pressed by Cruz. He admitted that he may have misspoke in saying hes been pressing McCain, as hes been pressing the Senate Armed Services Committee and that McCain is the new Chairman of that committee.

No, that is a moderate you are describing, NOT an independent.
You're right...I realized my error as soon as I posted it.
Yes, I meant conservative independents. If a candidate gets them and conservative Democrats, like Reagan, then it is a shoe-in. Sure but that’s a big if.
Roger said, he doesn't like any of the Candidates but leans Bush, in an interview this week.
They certainly are not a Conservative ally. Roger Ailes had an interview posted on line Sunday where he lamented on the quality of the Republican candidates, and how he would manage all the light weights. He clearly manages the news division and all the paid hacks know it.
That interview would have mad me angry - except I’m in Antigua this week....choosing rum, amazing water, and my beautiful bride of 20 years......(back to reality next week).
“Roger said, he doesn’t like any of the Candidates but leans Bush, in an interview this week. “
Thanks for proving my point about Ailes, and Fox.
