Maybe lukewarm was the wrong word. I thought they would be enthusiastically clapping and a standing O at the end and it was not. It was polite.
I'm listening to the speech right now, and on multiple occasions that are most certainly applauding very enthusiastically.

Our perception of the crowd’s reaction to Ted Cruz is just different. I was surprised that it was not way more enthusiastic but NH is not that conservative.
